一般動詞の現在の文を〔疑問文と答え〕，〔否定文〕にするときに，主語が３人称・単数でない場合にはdoを使い，３人称・単数の場合にはdoesを使います。（doesはdoにesがついた形です。）
＜主語が３人称・単数でない場合＞ …doを使います。
〔肯定文〕
Ken and Rika play baseball. （ケンとリカは野球をします）
〔疑問文と答え〕
Do Ken and Rika play baseball?
→Yes, they do. ／No, they don’t.
〔否定文〕
Ken and Rika do not[don’t] play baseball.
＜主語が３人称・単数の場合＞ …doesを使います。
〔肯定文〕
Ken plays baseball. （ケンは野球をします）
〔疑問文と答え〕
Does Ken play baseball?
→Yes, he does.／No, he doesn’t.
〔否定文〕
Ken does not[doesn’t] play baseball.
